Description
White background adorned with a geometric grid formed by five black tesserae. In the centre, framed by a line of black tesserae, the figure of Neptune is standing on a narrow base. The muscles of the body and the features of the face are highlighted with lines of white tesserae. With his left hand he is holding an object, probably a trident, which has a small horizontal stroke over the base. The right arm is fragmented at the height of the forearm. On the left of Neptune a mermaid is holding the trident with her right hand. On the right of Neptune there are the remains of another black figure now disappeared.
