Ceramic cup in the shape of a dolphin, which rests on an ellipsoid support decorated with white paint. The waves are on a white stripe. The dolphin is also decorated with white paint on the tail and the eye and remains of red paint on the top fin, in the eye that is preserved and in the mouth, which has a hole. On one side, in the belly of the animal, there is a small receptacle with a handle. There is no decoration on this side (which is where it would have been filled with liquid). Gutti are small sealed containers, made of pottery, with holes at the top as a strainer and with a pipe. They served to contain oils and perfumes. Other theories say could have helped to feed babies as if it were a bottle. The gutti appeared in very different forms, fantasy, animals or even human body parts. This dolphin made with a mould, decorated with white paint to enhances the details of the form, is an exceptional example. It could have been used to contain valuable or precious oil, probably brought to Ibiza from somewhere in Greece and, therefore, worthy of accompanying its owner on the long journey.
