Description
Double hand-made cup or calyx made with a spatulated finish. It consists of two opposite containers with an approximately hemispherical shape, of identical size, joined by a cylindrical stem. The rims of both cups are decorated with a geometric zigzag motif. It is undoubtedly a unique object, with few parallels, which dates back to the beginnings of the Iberian settlement of Mas Castell de Porqueres. It is unknown what its exact use was, although some researchers have proposed its possible function as a thymiaterion or incense burner.
