Pair of black glass paste bracelets that take the form of a twisted cord. Bracelets in glass paste have been documented in the Iberian Peninsula from the first century AD until the sixteenth century. During the Middle Ages, the findings of glass bracelets are concentrated in funerary contexts, especially those belonging to minorities: Jewish and Muslim. The bracelets from Les Roquetes mimic the colour of jet, the material historically attributed with prophylactic qualities against the evil eye.
