Description
Fragment of a polylobed arch with two sides with relief decoration and remains of paint on the smooth surfaces of the intrados of the arch and the lobes and the moulding of the two hanging keystones. The thickness of the piece is formed by building material: plaster, ceramic material and stone. Two parts are differentiated in the decoration: on one hand the bottom panel from the hanging keystone protrudes, and on the other the panel where the blind hanging keystone is located and to which lobes of the arch, also blind, appear to be joined both at their top and their bottom. The two sides are separated by a series of three staggered sections at right angles that retain remains of red paint. The painted decoration is badly damaged, but was applied to the central intradoses of the arch and lobes and the mouldings of the hanging keystones. The decorative motifs are the same as in relief decoration: mainly vegetable and geometric, with palm leaves, digitate leaves, beads, etc. The colours are red, black, white and blue.
