Read more
Jar with red slip produced in a local workshop in the city of Iesso. With a closed mouth and everted rim, the lip is slightly bevelled toward the outside. It has a high, narrow neck, large and slightly rounded shoulder and cylindrical body. The contact point between the body and base is slightly bevelled towards the interior and the base is flat. It displays grooved decoration on the neck, shoulder and the shoulder-body contact area. It has two very flat and wide handles with ribbed decoration, which go from the lip to the start of the shoulder.
