Description
Monochrome manganese type of bowl. It is a piece of tableware in the form of a hemispherical bowl. The decoration consists of a central motif of a pseudo heraldic shield, without a family affiliation, in a triangular shape with a double line that frames a spike-shaped motif. The function of these bowls has often been related to beverages and liquid food, and to contain sauces on the table. A large number of pieces of this type of ceramic material have been found at the site of 7-9 Fountain Street, which suggests the frequent use of this type of soup in the context of the Jewish community in Tarrega.
