Dish with fine black varnish produced in the ancient Greek colony of Roses (Alt Emporda) between 250-200 BC. Its firing was defective (oxidised parts); decoration on internal background consisting of three imprinted radial palmettes and a central rosette surrounded by a border of multiple grooves.
The use of this type of bowl would be related to individual consumption of semisolid food (broths, purees, porridge).
It was found on Floor 27 of the Iberian city of Molí d'Espígol, in the final abandonment level of the settlement around 200 BC.
