Lower half of milestone, of which the quadrangular foundation base and part of the frustoconical body or column is preserved. It came from the nearby Via Augusta that crossed the Penedès from north to south and which, coming from the Pyrenees, reached the Strait of Gibraltar. Its function, like that of all milestones, was to signpost the section of track and mark the miles that separated the different cities on the route. It was discovered in the area of the anteapse of the church of Santa María during the 2016 excavations, lying on the pavement (12th century). It was raised and positioned in the southeast corner. Initially, its function was as the foot of the altar, located in the apse (10th - 11th century).
