Mosaic emblem made of different coloured small tesserae following the opus vermiculatum technique, on a square limestone plate. Originally from the flooring of one of the north peristyle rooms in House 1 of the Roman City.
It depicts a partridge removing a necklace from a box or pyxis. It is a polychrome mosaic on a white background, framed by a strip of two black tesserae. The tesserae of the lower right square are missing.
