Mosaic emblem made of different coloured small tesserae of, following the technique known as opus vermiculatum, on a square limestone plate. It was originally placed in the centre of the mosaic floor of one of the rooms in the north wing of the peristyle of house No. 1.
It depicts a comic mask, upon a pedestal, in a polychrome mosaic with a white background framed by a three-black tesserae band.
