Description
Terracotta of the goddess Tanit, of excellent quality and great technical perfection. Inspired by Hellenistic models of clear Sicilian or Magna Greece influence. She has a pleated Ionic chiton gathered at the waist. Her hair is combed into two bands and she has a headband. The features of the face are very severe and correct. Arms were added to the initial body, and her nose and ears were pierced to insert earrings.
