Description
Fragment of an ornamental panel. The decorative motif is mixed, plant and animal. It is possible that whole composition is structured around a tree of life, of which the central trunk with grooved profile is preserved; digitate leaves with unilateral lobes and slightly curved base lobe (only the left leaf is preserved whole). On the left side of the tree of life, and framed by a semi-circular lobular profile, the head of a bird and a composite palmette appears. The head of the bird, in profile, has a long, curved, pointed beak with a central groove that marks both sides of it. The drop-shaped eye is made with a light incision.
