Description
Frustoconical object with a central hole, made on the wheel. It displays incisions and impressions around the perimeter. In the top half, a zigzag line of slightly curved vertical lines is framed by two lines hanging regularly. These and the zigzag line are made with fine prints of a sharp object. Incisions and impressions are filled with white paste that highlights the decoration. Irregularly-shaped arrow motifs are distributed In the lower half. Grey clay with brown core. The spindle whorl was found in the excavations in 1996, in a level of abandonment dated in the late second century and beginning of the first century BC in Room 6. These types of pieces are related to textile production and, specifically, to hand spinning. They are common in all Iberian period settlements, made both by hand and on a wheel, decorated or plain.
