Description
Small naiskos with a frontal represention of the goddess Cybele sitting on a throne. She is dressed in a chiton and wearing a tower-shaped crown. Her right arm and hand, which probably held a Fiala are broken while the left is hidden by the presence of a drum, typical attribute of this goddess. On both sides of the pilasters are low reliefs of Nike. Cybele is associated in classical mythology with the goddess mother.
