Mosaic discovered in the Roman villa of Els Munts (Altafulla) near Tarraco. Ceramic with a circular frame occupied by a mosaic (opus vermiculatum) and the portrait of a person, perhaps female, with their face turned slightly to the right, wearing a diadem over the hair on the forehead. It has no distinctive attributes. However, the fact that it came from the same destruction level as two similar —although smaller— pieces attributed to Euterpe and Thalia leads us to believe it could be Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory and mother of the Nine Muses.
The 3rd-century fire that destroyed the room in which this mosaic was found burned off almost all its original polychrome, leaving a predominance of grey and blue tones.The brick support has clear remains of blue paint on the exterior sides and the front surface.
